The Thermo Scientific™ GeneJET Plant Genomic DNA Purification Kit is designed for the rapid and efficient isolation of high-quality genomic DNA from a wide variety of plant species and tissue types. The kit employs silica membrane spin column technology, eliminating the need for phenol-chloroform extractions, expensive resins, or alcohol precipitation.
The optimized protocol yields DNA greater than 30 kb in size within 30 minutes after cell lysis, delivering up to 32 µg from 100 mg of plant tissue. The kit recovers nuclear, mitochondrial, and chloroplast DNA suitable for direct use in downstream molecular biology applications.
