Liofilchem™ MTS™ Levonadifloxacin LND MIC Test Strips are quantitative antimicrobial susceptibility testing tools designed for the accurate determination of the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of Levonadifloxacin against clinically relevant bacterial isolates. These strips utilize a predefined exponential antibiotic gradient ranging from 0.002 to 32 µg/mL, enabling precise MIC determination directly on agar plates.
The MTS™ (MIC Test Strip) method combines the simplicity of agar diffusion with the precision of dilution techniques. Each strip contains a continuous gradient of Levonadifloxacin, allowing microbiologists to visually determine the exact MIC value at the point where the bacterial inhibition ellipse intersects the strip scale. This provides highly reproducible and clinically relevant results that support targeted antimicrobial therapy and antimicrobial resistance monitoring.
Levonadifloxacin is a broad-spectrum benzoquinolizine fluoroquinolone with strong activity against Gram-positive pathogens, including multidrug-resistant organisms such as MRSA. These MIC test strips are manufactured under strict quality standards to ensure consistent antibiotic concentration gradients, reliable diffusion, and accurate susceptibility interpretation.
Applications
- Quantitative MIC determination of Levonadifloxacin
- Clinical microbiology antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST)
- Detection and monitoring of antimicrobial resistance
- Hospital and diagnostic microbiology laboratories
- Pharmaceutical quality control and antibiotic evaluation
- Academic and microbiological research
Principle of the Method
Each MTS™ strip contains a continuous, predefined Levonadifloxacin concentration gradient. When applied to an inoculated agar plate (typically Mueller-Hinton agar), the antibiotic diffuses into the medium and inhibits bacterial growth. After incubation, an elliptical inhibition zone forms. The MIC value is read directly from the scale on the strip at the point where the ellipse intersects the strip.
