NuPAGE™ MOPS SDS Running Buffer (20X) is a high-performance electrophoresis buffer optimized for separating medium- to large-sized proteins using NuPAGE™ Bis-Tris polyacrylamide gels under denaturing conditions (SDS-PAGE). This buffer provides a more gradual protein migration than MES buffer, allowing improved resolution of higher molecular weight proteins.

The buffer is formulated with 50 mM MOPS, 50 mM Tris Base, 0.1% SDS, and 1 mM EDTA, and is stabilized with trace N,N-dimethylformamide. Once diluted to 1X, it is ready for direct use in protein gel electrophoresis workflows.

Use MOPS SDS Running Buffer when you need to focus on larger proteins or when you're performing SDS-PAGE with NuPAGE Bis-Tris gels for Western blotting, protein quantification, or mass spectrometry.
