The Thermo Scientific™ Pierce™ Bradford Plus Protein Assay Kit is a next-generation, colorimetric protein quantitation assay based on the Coomassie (Bradford) dye-binding method, optimized for improved linearity, reduced protein-to-protein variability, and compatibility with reducing agents.
This ready-to-use formulation enables rapid and reproducible detection of total protein concentration in a wide range of sample types, including those containing common interfering substances like DTT, TCEP, salts, buffers, and metal chelators.
Kits are available with either:
- A standard BSA solution (2 mg/mL) (Cat. No. 23236), or
- A Dilution-Free BSA Standard Set (Cat. No. A55866) containing seven pre-diluted BSA concentrations for immediate use in standard curve generation—ideal for high-throughput microplate assays using multichannel pipettes.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Improved Linearity & Reproducibility
Less protein-to-protein variation compared to traditional Bradford reagents. -
Reducing Agent Compatibility
Compatible with DTT, TCEP, and other common reducing agents not tolerated by standard Bradford reagents. -
Rapid, One-Step Protocol
No reagent mixing or incubation delays—add, mix, read. -
Flexible Format
Suitable for cuvette- or microplate-based detection; supports low- and high-throughput workflows. -
Wide Assay Range
Detects total protein between 1 to 1500 µg/mL—ideal for lysates, extracts, and purified protein samples. -
Colorimetric Detection
Measure absorbance at 595 nm using any standard spectrophotometer or plate reader. -
BSA Standards Included
Choose between a single-concentration or a pre-diluted 7-point BSA standard curve.
