This supplement is used in the preparation of enriched media such as Thayer Martin Medium and New York City Medium, which are widely utilized for clinical diagnostics involving pathogenic Neisseria spp.

Applications

1. Thayer Martin Medium:

Preparation Instructions

1. Reconstitution:
   • Aseptically reconstitute one vial of Vitox Supplement using its corresponding rehydration fluid.
2. Enrichment:
   • Add the fully dissolved supplement to 500 mL of GC Agar Base (Part No. CM0367B), autoclaved, and cooled to 45–50°C.
3. Final Medium Preparation:
   • Mix the medium thoroughly and distribute it into appropriate culture plates.
