FastAP efficiently dephosphorylates all types of DNA ends—including blunt, 5′ overhangs, and 3′ overhangs—in just 10 minutes at 37 °C. The enzyme is rapidly and completely inactivated in 5 minutes at 75 °C, eliminating the need for purification before ligation.
