Red Fluorescent Dye for Tracking Cell Division in Flow Cytometry and Microscopy
Cell Proliferation Dye eFluor™ 670 is a red-emitting amine-reactive dye used to monitor individual cell divisions and track cell populations over time via flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. The dye covalently binds to primary amines on intracellular and membrane proteins, and upon cell division, is equally distributed between daughter cells—resulting in sequential halving of fluorescence intensity that allows up to 6 generations to be distinguished.
With excitation at 647 nm and emission at 670 nm, eFluor™ 670 is compatible with red (633 nm) lasers and can be detected in the 660/20 bandpass channel (equivalent to APC, Alexa Fluor™ 647, and eFluor™ 660), making it ideal for use alongside GFP and other commonly used fluorophores.
