The Invitrogen™ CSPD™ Substrate (25 mM Concentrate) is a high-performance chemiluminescent substrate for alkaline phosphatase (AP) detection, offering exceptional sensitivity, low background, and long-lasting signal. It is ideal for protein and nucleic acid blotting on nitrocellulose membranes, including Southern, Northern, and Western blotting, as well as solution-based assays such as immunoassays, DNA probe assays, enzyme assays, and reporter gene assays.
Compared to traditional substrates such as methylumbelliferyl phosphate (MUP) and p-nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP), CSPD™ delivers higher sensitivity and superior signal-to-noise performance. Maximum light output is achieved within approximately 10 minutes, with glow emission persisting for several hours. For optimal performance in solution assays and certain membrane applications, use with chemiluminescent enhancers is recommended.
