Long-retention, low-toxicity dyes for live-cell tracking, proliferation, and migration studies
Invitrogen™ CellTracker™ fluorescent probes are a family of cell-permeant, long-lasting dyes designed for live-cell tracking and multiplex imaging in both adherent and suspension cell types. These probes freely diffuse across the plasma membrane, where they are converted into cell-impermeant fluorescent reaction products that are retained through multiple cell divisions (typically three to six generations).
With low cytotoxicity and retention of fluorescence for >72 hours, CellTracker dyes enable long-term studies of cell movement, proliferation, migration, chemotaxis, invasion, and localization. The range of available emission colors ensures compatibility with common lasers and filter sets for single or multicolor experiments, including co-staining with antibodies and other probes.
