The Human Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling 3 (SOCS3) ELISA Kit is a highly sensitive sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the quantitative determination of Human SOCS3 antigen in biological samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue lysates, and other biological fluids.
SOCS3 is an important intracellular regulatory protein that belongs to the Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling (SOCS) family, which functions as a negative regulator of cytokine signaling pathways, particularly within the JAK/STAT signaling pathway. SOCS3 plays a critical role in immune regulation, inflammatory responses, metabolic signaling, and tumor biology, making it a valuable biomarker in studies related to immunology, inflammation, cancer research, and metabolic diseases.
This ELISA kit utilizes a highly specific antibody-coated microplate to capture SOCS3 from samples. Following antigen binding and washing steps, a horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated detection antibody binds to the captured SOCS3 protein. The addition of tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) substrate produces a colorimetric reaction proportional to the SOCS3 concentration, which is measured at 450 nm using an ELISA microplate reader.

Assay Principle (Sandwich ELISA)
- Microplate wells are pre-coated with antibodies specific to Human SOCS3.
- SOCS3 antigen present in standards or samples binds to the immobilized antibodies.
- After washing, an HRP-conjugated detection antibody binds to the captured SOCS3 antigen.
- Addition of TMB chromogenic substrate results in a blue color reaction.
- The reaction is terminated using an acid stop solution, producing a yellow color.
- The intensity of the color is proportional to the SOCS3 concentration and is measured at 450 nm.
- Sample concentrations are calculated by comparing OD values to the standard curve.
