Thermo Scientific™ FastDigest SfiI is a rare-cutting restriction enzyme that recognizes the sequence 5′ GGCCNNNN^NGGCC 3′ / 3′ CCGGNNNNNC^CGG 5′, generating 3′ protruding ends. As with all SfiI enzymes, efficient cleavage requires at least two recognition sites, which can be located on the same or separate DNA molecules.
Optimized to perform at 50 °C, FastDigest SfiI provides complete digestion in 5–15 minutes within the universal FastDigest Buffer system. This system eliminates the need for buffer changes or additional DNA clean-up steps, while ensuring compatibility with DNA modifying enzymes such as T4 DNA Ligase, Klenow Fragment, T4 DNA Polymerase, and alkaline phosphatases.
