Thermo Scientific™ FastDigest XmaJI is a rapid restriction enzyme that recognizes the sequence 5′ C^CTAGG 3′ / 3′ GGATC^C 5′, generating 5′ protruding ends. Optimized to perform at 37 °C, it provides complete digestion within 5–15 minutes when used with the universal FastDigest Buffer system.
As part of the FastDigest™ enzyme portfolio, XmaJI is fully active in both FastDigest and FastDigest Green Buffers. This ensures compatibility for single, double, or multiple digestions without buffer changes or DNA purification steps. Its formulation prevents star activity and supports downstream workflows with DNA-modifying enzymes, including T4 DNA Ligase, Klenow Fragment, T4 DNA Polymerase, and alkaline phosphatases.
