Test Principle

The test uses latex particles coated with specific antibodies against streptococcal group antigens. When mixed with a suspension prepared from streptococcal colonies, the presence of the corresponding group antigen causes visible agglutination. In the absence of matching antigen, the suspension remains smooth.
