The Thermo Scientific™ Streptex™ Positive Control is a polyvalent reagent used to validate the performance of the Streptex™ Latex Agglutination Test System, which detects Lancefield Groups A, B, C, D, F, and G of Streptococcus. Each vial contains a polyvalent extract of antigens from representative strains of all six streptococcal groups. When mixed with the appropriate latex reagents in the Streptex kit, visible agglutination confirms the integrity of the system. It is supplied as a ready-to-use latex suspension in phosphate buffer (pH 7.4) with 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative.
