Phenotypic Detection of Carbapenemase & OXA-48-like Enzymes in Enterobacterales
The MASTDISCS® Combi Carba Plus is a phenotypic disc diffusion test kit designed for the detection of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales, including OXA-48-like enzymes. This EUCAST-compliant kit allows microbiologists to differentiate between major carbapenemase classes, such as Metallo-β-Lactamases (MBL), Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC), and AmpC-mediated carbapenem resistance.
This five-cartridge system provides an accurate, cost-effective, and easy-to-use method for detecting bacterial resistance to carbapenems, ensuring effective antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) and infection control.
Key Features & Benefits
✅ EUCAST-Validated for Carbapenemase Detection – Ensures accurate and reliable results
✅ Five-Cartridge System for Differentiation of Carbapenemase Types – Identifies MBL, KPC, AmpC-mediated resistance, and OXA-48-like enzymes
✅ Rapid & Cost-Effective Phenotypic Testing – Provides clear interpretation for clinical microbiology labs
