Vircell AMPLIRUN® Staphylococcus DNA Controls provide purified, quantified DNA from Staphylococcus aureus strains with and without the mecA gene (methicillin resistance determinant) for use as positive controls in nucleic acid amplification techniques. Each control contains the complete microbial genome, quantified at 10,000–20,000 copies/µL (qPCR-determined), and is supplied in a lyophilized, non-infectious format.
