Liofilchem® Rosolic Acid Supplement

Liofilchem Rosolic Acid Supplement is a lyophilized selective additive designed to enhance the isolation and differentiation of fecal coliforms in microbiological analysis. It is used in conjunction with m-Faecal Coliform Agar (mFC) for the detection and enumeration of fecal coliforms in water and other samples, following standard methods recommended by the APHA (1985).

Composition:

Instructions for Use:

1. Reconstitution:
   • Aseptically reconstitute the content of one vial of Rosolic Acid Supplement with 5 ml of sterile distilled water.
   • Mix thoroughly until completely dissolved.
2. Preparation with mFC Agar:
   • Add the reconstituted solution to 500 ml of m-Faecal Coliform Agar (mFC).
   • Mix well to ensure uniform distribution.
3. Heating:
   • Bring the medium to boil.
   • Do not sterilize the medium.
4. Cooling and Dispensing:
   • Allow the medium to cool to 50°C.
   • Distribute into sterile Petri dishes under aseptic conditions.
