The Invitrogen™ SuperScript™ IV First-Strand Synthesis System for RT-PCR delivers fast, robust, and reliable cDNA synthesis from purified total RNA or poly(A)+ RNA. Available in formats with or without ezDNase enzyme, the system provides flexibility for applications requiring genomic DNA removal while ensuring reproducibility and sensitivity in downstream PCR and qPCR assays.
At its core is SuperScript™ IV Reverse Transcriptase, an engineered M-MLV mutant with enhanced thermostability, processivity, and inhibitor resistance, while maintaining low RNase H activity. The system achieves cDNA synthesis in as little as 10 minutes, significantly faster than SuperScript™ III–based systems, while producing full-length cDNA up to 12.3 kb.
The ezDNase-enabled version simplifies and accelerates genomic DNA removal, eliminating the variability introduced by traditional DNase treatments and reducing RNA loss.
