Thermo Scientific™ Pierce™ Protein A Agarose is a high-quality, standard-capacity affinity resin designed for efficient purification of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies from a variety of mammalian sources. The resin consists of native Protein A covalently immobilized onto crosslinked 6% beaded agarose (CL-6B), a popular chromatography support offering excellent physical stability and chemical compatibility.
Ideal for polyclonal antibody purification, this resin offers high specificity and low nonspecific binding, enabling reliable and reproducible performance in both batch and column-based applications.

- High-Affinity Fc Binding: Native Protein A binds strongly to the Fc region of IgGs from several species (e.g., human, rabbit, pig, dog, cat).
- Covalent Immobilization: Protein A is immobilized via AminoLink™ chemistry, providing a stable, charge-neutral, and leach-resistant bond for consistent results across multiple uses.
- Standard Binding Capacity: Binds approximately 12–19 mg of human IgG or 6–8 mg of mouse IgG per mL of resin.
- Versatile Compatibility: Suitable for purification workflows involving neutral to slightly alkaline buffers (optimal pH: 7.0–8.2); tolerates pH range of 2–14 (short term).

Compatibility Notes
- Excellent for use with human IgG1, IgG2, and IgG4, as well as rabbit, pig, cat, and dog IgG subclasses.
- Less suitable for human IgG3 and mouse IgG1, due to low affinity of Protein A for these isotypes.
