The Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Tobramycin Antimicrobial Susceptibility Discs are precision-manufactured paper discs used for the in vitro determination of bacterial susceptibility to tobramycin via the disc diffusion method (Kirby-Bauer). Tobramycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, is commonly used to treat Gram-negative infections including those caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Klebsiella species.

Each 6 mm disc is pre-impregnated with either 10 µg or 30 µg of tobramycin and delivered in robust spring-loaded cartridges designed for accuracy, ease of use, and compatibility with disc dispensers. The discs are individually sealed in foil blister packs with desiccant to maintain a moisture level of less than 2%, ensuring extended shelf life and performance stability.
