Mode of Action:

• Nystatin binds to ergosterol in fungal cell membranes, creating ion-permeable channels that lead to loss of essential cellular components and fungal cell death.

Mode of Resistance:

• Altered ergosterol biosynthesis reduces Nystatin binding affinity, leading to resistance.
