Growth factors such as biotin, pyridoxine, and glutamic acid enhance metabolism, while albumin protects mycobacteria from toxic compounds.

Malachite green acts as a selective agent to suppress contaminating microorganisms, while glycerol and glucose serve as energy sources. Catalase helps neutralize toxic peroxides, and oleic acid contributes to lipid metabolism essential for mycobacterial growth.
