Qualitative Detection of Treponema pallidum Antibodies in Serum, Plasma, and Biological Fluids
The Human Syphilis (TPPA) ELISA Kit is a qualitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) designed for the detection of antibodies specific to Treponema pallidum (TPPA) in human serum, plasma, culture media, or other biological fluids. Utilizing a solid-phase antibody-coated microplate, this assay identifies both primary and past infections by detecting antibodies against the causative agent of syphilis.
This ELISA kit offers high specificity and sensitivity, making it ideal for use in clinical research, epidemiological surveillance, and STI-related studies. For research use only (RUO) — not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
Key Features & Benefits

Assay Procedure (Overview)
- Add 10 µL of sample + 40 µL of sample diluent to test wells
- Add 50 µL of positive/negative controls to control wells
- Add 100 µL HRP-Conjugate to each well
- Incubate 60 min at 37°C
- Wash 5× with diluted wash buffer
- Add 50 µL each of Chromogen A & B, incubate 15 min (avoid light)
- Add 50 µL Stop Solution
- Read OD at 450 nm within 15 minutes
-
Interpret results using calculated cutoff:
- Negative: OD < Cutoff
- Positive: OD ≥ Cutoff
