Principle of the Assay

The assay is based on the sandwich ELISA technique:

  1. Microplate wells are pre-coated with anti-human 8-Isoprostane antibodies.
  2. Samples and standards are added, allowing antigen binding.
  3. HRP-conjugated detection antibody binds to the antigen-antibody complex.
  4. Chromogenic substrate (TMB) produces a measurable color reaction.
  5. Stop solution terminates the reaction, producing a yellow color.
