The Invitrogen™ EnzChek™ Ultra Amylase Assay Kit delivers a fast, highly sensitive, and convenient fluorescence-based solution for measuring amylase activity or screening amylase inhibitors in a high-throughput format.
The kit features a BODIPY™ FL-labeled DQ™ starch substrate, heavily labeled to quench fluorescence until enzymatic digestion by amylase releases bright fluorescent fragments. The increase in fluorescence is directly proportional to amylase activity and can be easily monitored using a fluorescence microplate reader or fluorometer equipped with standard fluorescein filters.
