Preparation Instructions

1. Suspend: Suspend 27.5g of Bolton Broth Base in 500mL of distilled water.
2. Mix and Heat: Heat with frequent agitation to dissolve completely.
3. Supplement: Aseptically add the reconstituted Bolton Selective Supplement (SR0183) and 7% lysed horse blood if required.
4. Incubation:
   • Pre-enrich at 30–37°C for initial resuscitation.
   • Incubate at 42°C to increase selective pressure and suppress competing organisms.
