This kit includes the fluorescent dye DiOC2(3), which accumulates in bacterial cells in a potential-dependent manner, enabling clear differentiation between energized and depolarized cells. The proton ionophore CCCP is included as a control reagent to collapse membrane potential, providing a reliable negative control.

    The dual-color readout (green for all bacteria, red for polarized cells) enables precise analysis of membrane integrity, making this kit ideal for bacterial viability studies, antibiotic mode-of-action testing, and physiological assessments.
