Thermo Scientific™ FastDigest PstI is a high-performance restriction enzyme that recognizes the sequence 5′ CTGCA^G 3′ / 3′ G^ACGTC 5′, producing 3′ protruding ends. Optimized for rapid digestion, it achieves complete cleavage in 5–15 minutes at 37 °C using the universal FastDigest Buffer system.

As part of the FastDigest™ enzyme portfolio, PstI is 100% active in both the FastDigest and FastDigest Green Buffers, enabling single, double, or multiple digestions in one reaction without buffer changes or DNA clean-up steps. This streamlines cloning workflows and ensures compatibility with DNA-modifying enzymes such as T4 DNA Ligase, Klenow Fragment, T4 DNA Polymerase, and alkaline phosphatases.
