Violet-Excited, Non-Fixable Dead Cell Indicator for Flow Cytometry
SYTOX™ Blue Dead Cell Stain is a high-affinity, nucleic acid-binding fluorescent dye that provides rapid, reliable discrimination of dead cells in flow cytometry. Designed for use with violet laser-equipped instruments (405 nm), SYTOX™ Blue penetrates only cells with compromised plasma membranes, binding to DNA and RNA and emitting a bright blue fluorescence (~444/480 nm), with minimal spectral overlap in multicolor panels.
This reagent is supplied as a 1 mM solution in anhydrous DMSO, ready for dilution and use in a simple, one-step viability assay. It is ideal for non-fixable viability assessments where clear, high-contrast gating is required.
