System Description
Each test panel consists of a clear plastic tray with multiple wells containing pre-impregnated chromogenic and conventional substrates. The tray is inoculated with a standardized suspension of the test isolate in RapID Inoculation Fluid (R8325102). During incubation, enzyme-substrate reactions lead to color development in specific wells. Following incubation, the positive and negative reaction profile is compared against known patterns using a computer-generated Code Compendium or ERIC™ software for organism identification.
