KIMBLE® Amber Disposable Borosilicate Glass Tubes are high-quality laboratory tubes manufactured from borosilicate glass 5.1, designed for routine and specialized laboratory applications requiring excellent chemical resistance and sample protection. These tubes comply with ASTM Specification E890, ensuring consistent dimensional accuracy and material performance.
The amber 51 expansion borosilicate glass provides enhanced protection for light-sensitive samples, while offering superior resistance to chemical attack and sodium leaching, a common limitation of soda-lime glass alternatives. This makes the tubes particularly suitable for analytical, pharmaceutical, environmental, and research laboratories.
For added convenience and safety, the tubes are packed in rigid trays that maintain constant tube alignment. Each tray is shrink-wrapped in protective plastic film, minimizing the risk of breakage and contamination during transport, storage, and daily bench use.
