Blue-Excited Viability Dye for Discriminating Dead Cells in Fixation-Compatible Flow Cytometry

Fixable Viability Dye eFluor™ 450 is a blue-fluorescent, amine-reactive viability dye designed to irreversibly label dead cells prior to cryopreservation, fixation, and/or permeabilization. Compatible with standard intracellular staining workflows, this dye enables reliable live/dead discrimination without affecting downstream fluorescence signals—unlike non-fixable dyes such as 7-AAD or propidium iodide.

With an excitation maximum at 405 nm and emission at 450 nm, it is ideal for use with violet laser-equipped flow cytometers, and is spectrally equivalent to Pacific Blue™ or eFluor™ 450.
