Rapid latex agglutination assay for confirmatory identification of multiple Legionella species

The Thermo Scientific™ DrySpot™ Legionella Species Latex Agglutination Test is a qualitative latex slide agglutination assay used to rapidly identify clinically significant Legionella species isolated from patients with suspected Legionellosis or from environmental samples such as cooling towers, potable water, and hospital systems.

This assay employs blue latex particles sensitized with specific rabbit antibodies reactive with a broad panel of Legionella species, including L. longbeachae (serogroups 1 & 2), L. bozemanii (serogroups 1 & 2), L. dumoffii, L. gormanii, L. jordanis, L. micdadei, and L. anisa. These species have been implicated in human disease and are confirmed through visible agglutination on the test card.

Built-in negative control reaction areas containing non-reactive globulins ensure the reliability and specificity of results.
