The Corning® BioCoat™ Laminin-Coated Cell Culture Plates are pre-coated, tissue culture–treated polystyrene microplates designed to promote cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation for a wide variety of cell types. Each plate is coated with mouse laminin sourced from the Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm (EHS) mouse tumor, a major structural protein of basement membranes.

Laminin binds to collagen IV, other basement membrane proteins, and cell-surface receptors, making it an essential substrate for neuronal, epithelial, muscle, and myoblast cultures. Each batch is tested for functional activity (ability to initiate neurite outgrowth in NG-108 rat glioma/mouse neuroblastoma cells) and certified free of bacteria and fungi.

Key Features

  • Laminin-Coated Surface – Enhances attachment and growth of primary and cultured cells.
  • Proven Biological Activity – Verified for neurite outgrowth induction in NG-108 cells.
  • Versatile Applications – Supports adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation of neurons, epithelial cells, myocytes, and myoblasts.
  • Sterility Assured – Tested and found negative for bacteria and fungi.
  • Convenient, Ready-to-Use Format – Eliminates the need for manual coating procedures.

Applications

  • Neuronal cell culture and neurite outgrowth studies
  • Epithelial cell growth and differentiation assays
  • Myoblast and myocyte culture
  • Cell adhesion and spreading studies
  • Extracellular matrix interaction research
  • Drug screening assays using laminin-dependent cell types
