Liofilchem® Lactic Acid 10% Solution is a sterile additive used to adjust the pH of microbiological culture media. It is particularly suited for media such as Malt Extract Agar and Potato Dextrose Agar, where pH reduction enhances the selective growth of fungi and yeasts. Each 10 mL vial contains a precise amount of lactic acid (1.0 g in distilled water), ensuring consistency and reproducibility in laboratory workflows.

One vial is sufficient to treat 500 mL of culture medium. The solution must be added after autoclaving and cooling the medium to 45–50 °C to preserve sterility and functionality.
