Colorimetric pH Indicator for Neutral to Slightly Alkaline Water Testing (pH 6.5–8.5)
This Phenol Red Indicator Solution is a ready-to-use, colorimetric pH reagent ideal for monitoring the pH of neutral to slightly alkaline water samples in the range of 6.5 to 8.5 pH units. Packaged in a convenient marked dropper bottle, it enables quick, visual or instrument-assisted (e.g., DR300 or DR900 colorimeters) pH measurements.
Used in Method 10076, this indicator undergoes a distinct color change from yellow (acidic) to red (alkaline), providing an effective and reliable way to determine pH in a wide variety of water testing environments.
Key Features
- Colorimetric Range: pH 6.5 to 8.5
- Distinct Color Shift: Yellow to red transition for easy visual interpretation
- Application-Specific: Designed for use with DR300 or DR900 colorimeters
- Easy Handling: Supplied in a 100 mL dropper bottle for convenient dispensing
- Minimal Chlorine Interference: Tolerates up to 6 mg/L Cl₂; pre-treatment available for higher concentrations
