The Thermo Scientific™ Eco130I (StyI) is a high-quality restriction endonuclease that specifically recognizes the palindromic DNA sequence 5′-C^CWWGG-3′ (where W = A or T) and cleaves between the first two cytosines. This conventional restriction enzyme delivers high cleavage accuracy and reliability for a broad range of molecular biology applications, including cloning, RFLP analysis, and SNP detection.
Eco130I (StyI) performs optimally at 37°C in 10X Buffer O, and is compatible with Thermo Scientific’s Five Buffer System, including the universal Tango buffer for efficient double digestions. The enzyme exhibits 100% activity in the recommended buffer, and is not sensitive to common forms of DNA methylation (Dam, Dcm, CpG).
