    Contents of the System

    Test Procedure

    1. Preparation:
      • Isolate the microorganism on a suitable growth medium (e.g., MacConkey Agar, EMB Agar).
      • Ensure the organism is Gram-negative and oxidase-negative through preliminary tests.
      • Prepare a bacterial suspension at 0.5 McFarland standard.
    2. Inoculation:
      • Dispense 0.2 mL of the bacterial suspension into each well.
      • Add the required xylose and arabinose discs to specific wells.
      • Overlay specific wells with vaseline oil to maintain anaerobic conditions.
    3. Incubation:
      • Incubate at 36±1°C for 18-24 hours.
    4. Result Interpretation:
      • Observe color changes and compare them to the Interpretive Table.
      • Perform additional steps (e.g., VP and indole tests) by adding reagents.
      • Record results to generate an 8-digit code.

        5. Identification:
