The Alpha Diagnostic™ YFV-Env IgG and IgM ELISA Kits are highly sensitive and specific immunoassays designed for the quantitative detection of antibodies against the Yellow Fever Virus envelope (Env) protein in human serum or plasma. These kits enable accurate measurement of immune response levels, supporting infection monitoring, vaccine response studies, and epidemiological research.
Unlike qualitative assays, these kits provide quantitative results, allowing researchers to determine antibody concentrations and assess immune status with greater precision.
Key Features
- Quantitative detection of anti-YFV envelope protein (Env) antibodies
- Available in IgG (past exposure/immunity) and IgM (recent infection) formats
- High specificity targeting YFV envelope protein antigen
- 96-well microplate format for high-throughput testing
- Suitable for serum and plasma samples
- Provides measurable antibody concentration data
- Includes standards and controls for accurate quantification
- Optimized for research and immunological studies
Applications
This kit is ideal for:
- Quantitative measurement of Yellow Fever antibody levels
- Vaccine response and immunogenicity studies
- Serological profiling and immune monitoring
- Epidemiological and surveillance studies
-
Differentiation of:
- Acute infection (IgM)
- Past infection or immunity (IgG)
-
Arbovirus research including:
- Yellow Fever
- Dengue
- Zika
Principle of the Assay
The assay is based on a quantitative ELISA method:
- Microplate wells are coated with YFV envelope (Env) antigen
- Specific antibodies (IgG or IgM) in the sample bind to the antigen
- An enzyme-labelled secondary antibody binds to the immune complex
- Addition of TMB substrate generates a color signal
- The reaction is stopped, producing a measurable color change
- Optical density (OD) at 450 nm is measured and compared to a standard curve to determine antibody concentration
