The Human Yellow Fever Virus (YFV) IgG / IgM ELISA Kits are enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays designed for the qualitative detection of anti-YFV antibodies in human serum, plasma, culture media, and other biological fluids. These kits provide a reliable method for assessing immune response to Yellow Fever Virus infection in research and surveillance settings.
Based on a highly sensitive HRP-TMB colorimetric ELISA principle, the assay enables accurate detection of antibodies by measuring absorbance at 450 nm, allowing clear differentiation between positive and negative samples.
Key Features
- Detection of YFV-specific IgG and IgM antibodies
- Qualitative results (positive/negative interpretation)
- High sensitivity using HRP-conjugate and TMB substrate system
- Available in 48- and 96-well formats
-
Suitable for multiple sample types:
- Serum
- Plasma
- Cell culture supernatants
- Biological fluids
- Includes positive and negative controls for validation
- Pre-coated antigen microplate for consistent performance
- Optimized for standard ELISA workflows
Applications
This kit is ideal for:
- Research detection of Yellow Fever Virus antibodies
- Serological studies and immune response analysis
- Epidemiological surveillance and outbreak research
-
Differentiation of:
- Recent infection (IgM)
- Past exposure or immunity (IgG)
-
Arbovirus research including:
- Yellow Fever
- Dengue
- Zika
Principle of the Assay
The assay is based on a sandwich/indirect ELISA principle:
- Microplate wells are pre-coated with YFV-specific antigen
- Antibodies in the sample bind to the immobilized antigen
- HRP-labelled conjugate forms an antigen–antibody complex
- Addition of TMB substrate produces a blue color
- Reaction is stopped, yielding a yellow color proportional to antibody concentration
- Optical density is measured at 450 nm and compared to a cut-off value
Kit Components
- Antigen-coated microplate
- HRP-conjugate reagent
- Sample diluent
- Positive and negative controls
- Chromogen Solution A & B (TMB)
- Stop solution
- Wash buffer concentrate
- Adhesive plate seals
