The Invitrogen™ Goat anti-Human IgG (H+L) Secondary Antibody, HRP is a high-performance affinity-purified polyclonal antibody designed for sensitive detection of human IgG heavy (H) and light (L) chains.
Conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP), this antibody provides strong, stable signal amplification in Western blot (WB), ELISA, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications. It has been validated across multiple assays for consistent performance and high signal-to-noise ratios.
Each lot of antibody is tested for sensitivity via ELISA and specificity via immunoelectrophoresis (IEP) to ensure reproducible results in a wide variety of immunodetection platforms.
Key Features
- High Specificity: Reacts with both heavy and light chains of human IgG (H+L).
- HRP-Conjugated: Enables rapid, colorimetric or chemiluminescent detection.
- Wide Assay Range: Suitable for WB, ELISA, and IHC.
- High Sensitivity: Detects low levels of human immunoglobulins with excellent signal amplification.
- Purified by Affinity Chromatography: Reduces background and cross-reactivity.
- Stable & Reproducible: Validated across 49 publications and referenced in multiple peer-reviewed studies.
- Lyophilized Form: Extended shelf life and stability for shipping and long-term storage.
- Verified Performance: Each lot tested for specificity and reactivity via immunoelectrophoresis.
Applications
| Application | Suggested Dilution Range |
|---|---|
| Western Blot (WB) | 1:500 – 1:20,000 |
| Immunohistochemistry (IHC) | 1:500 – 1:20,000 |
| ELISA (Indirect or Sandwich) | 1:500 – 1:20,000 |
Validated Use Example:
In non-reducing Western blots, this antibody detects a 150 kDa band corresponding to human IgG in IM-9 and ARH-77 cell lysates and conditioned media, but not in Raji or Jurkat samples, confirming specificity to human immunoglobulin G.

About Anti-Human Secondary Antibodies:
Anti-Human secondary antibodies provide detection flexibility by binding to human primary antibodies. They offer enhanced signal amplification and compatibility with multiple detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, or fluorophores). These reagents are widely used for Western blotting, immunofluorescence, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry in biomedical research.
Recommended Controls
- Positive Controls: IM-9, ARH-77 human cell lysates or conditioned medium.
- Negative Controls: Raji, Jurkat, or Molt-4 lysates (low human IgG expression).
Compliance and Safety
- For Research Use Only (RUO).
-
Not for diagnostic or therapeutic use in humans or animals.
The Invitrogen™ Goat anti-Human IgG (H+L) Secondary Antibody, HRP provides reliable, high-sensitivity detection for Western blotting, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry.
This affinity-purified antibody binds specifically to human IgG heavy and light chains, providing minimal background and strong signal with HRP-based chemiluminescent and colorimetric detection systems.
Validated through Invitrogen’s Advanced Verification Program, it is ideal for researchers studying human immunoglobulins, diagnostic assay developers, and laboratories requiring consistent, high-quality secondary antibodies for protein detection and quantification.
