The Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Teicoplanin Antimicrobial Susceptibility Discs are precision-manufactured diagnostic tools used to assess the susceptibility of bacterial pathogens to teicoplanin via disc diffusion (Kirby-Bauer) methodology. These 6 mm paper discs are pre-loaded with 15 µg or 30 µg of teicoplanin, a glycopeptide antibiotic commonly used for treating Gram-positive infections, including those caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus spp., and Streptococcus spp.
Each disc is housed in a spring-loaded, shatterproof cartridge for easy and safe dispensing. The cartridges are sealed in foil blister packs with desiccant to maintain moisture levels below 2%, ensuring long-term stability and product reliability.
