    Gibco™ Terrific Broth is a ready-to-use liquid growth medium designed for the cultivation and maintenance of E. coli strains, especially in experiments where high plasmid DNA yield or high-density growth is required. This filter-sterilized broth is ideal for a variety of molecular biology applications, including protein expression, cloning, and cell culture expansion.

    Terrific Broth is a nutrient-rich medium developed to significantly improve plasmid yield—4–7 times more DNA compared to LB medium when using pUC-based vectors. It is also highly effective for processing multiple clones from smaller culture volumes.
