The probe contains a reactive fluorophosphonate (FP) group that covalently labels the active-site serine residue of functional serine hydrolases, together with an azido group for downstream detection or enrichment using phosphine- or alkyne-derivatized tags.

This probe is useful for profiling serine hydrolase activity in cells, lysates, tissues, subcellular fractions, and recombinant protein preparations.
