Diluent Composition

Preparation Procedure

1. Reconstitution:
   • Aseptically dissolve the content of one vial of VITALEX Growth Supplement in 5 mL of VITALEX Growth Diluent.
   • Shake gently to ensure complete dissolution without forming foam.
2. Enrichment:
   • Add the reconstituted solution to 500 mL of autoclaved and cooled (45–50°C) G.C. Medium (ref. 610022 or 620022).
   • Mix thoroughly.
3. Dispensing:
   • Pour the enriched medium into sterile Petri dishes under aseptic conditions.

Applications

1. Clinical Diagnostics:
   • Enriches culture media for isolating Neisseria meningitidis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Haemophilus parainfluenzae.
2. Microbiological Research:
   • Supports studies on fastidious bacterial growth and antibiotic susceptibility.
