Using Hach TNTplus® Direct Read Technology, the procedure is straightforward: add the sample and indicator to the pre-dosed reagent vial, invert to mix, and place the vial into a compatible Hach spectrophotometer. The barcoded vial automatically identifies the test method, allowing the instrument to perform the measurement and display alkalinity results directly in mg/L CaCO₃. This automated process reduces analysis time, improves reproducibility, and minimizes the risk of human error.
The TNT870 test kit offers a measurement range of 25–400 mg/L CaCO₃ and includes 25 reagent vials, making it ideal for routine monitoring of alkalinity in drinking water, wastewater, boiler water, cooling water systems, and industrial process water. The innovative TNTplus vial design enhances safety and convenience by reducing reagent handling, contamination risks, and laboratory waste.
