The Invitrogen™ iBind™ Western Starter Kit provides everything needed to begin automated western blot processing using the iBind™ Western Device. This kit includes the device, consumables, and reagents required to perform every step of a western blot—from blocking to washes to antibody incubations—via sequential lateral flow (SLF) technology.
The iBind™ Western Device operates without external power, shakers, or trays. Solutions and antibodies are released in a timed sequence from the device wells to an iBind™ Card, which evenly distributes reagents across the membrane via a glass fiber matrix. This ensures uniform antigen–antibody interactions and consistent, reproducible results.
The kit processes one mini blot (8 × 8 cm) per run in approximately 2.5 hours and is compatible with nitrocellulose and PVDF membranes, supporting chromogenic, chemiluminescent, and fluorescent detection methods.
