Applied Biosystems™ Custom TaqMan™ Gene Expression Assays are made-to-order real-time PCR assays designed for quantitative gene expression analysis. These assays provide the custom version of Applied Biosystems™ predesigned TaqMan™ assays and are suitable when a specific target, transcript, gene variant, or sequence region requires a customized assay design.

Each assay includes a pair of unlabeled PCR primers and a sequence-specific TaqMan™ probe labeled with FAM dye at the 5′ end, plus a minor groove binder (MGB) and nonfluorescent quencher (NFQ) at the 3′ end. This chemistry supports high specificity, strong sensitivity, and accurate quantification of gene expression by real-time PCR.
