Sigma-Aldrich AmberChrom™ 1X4 is a strongly basic Type I anion exchange resin in the chloride form, designed for high-efficiency removal of anionic contaminants from aqueous solutions. This gel-type resin features a quaternary ammonium functional group on a styrene-divinylbenzene matrix, with 4% cross-linkage and >50% moisture content for excellent ion exchange kinetics.
Used widely in pharmaceutical purification, environmental testing, and industrial water treatment, AmberChrom™ 1X4 is equivalent to Dowex® 1X4-50 and compliant with FDA 21 CFR 173.25 for food-grade water purification.
