This macroreticular, gel-type, polystyrene-divinylbenzene resin contains quaternary ammonium functional groups (-N⁺(CH₃)₃) that efficiently remove anionic contaminants, including sulfates (SO₄²⁻), nitrates (NO₃⁻), bicarbonates (HCO₃⁻), organic acids, and chromates (CrO₄²⁻).
